Meditating
for Life
"From meditation springs wisdom. From lack of meditation,
loss of wisdom. Recognising these alternative roads of
progress and decline, one should so direct oneself so that
one's wisdom will increase." - Lord Gautamma
Buddha.
Too
much stress, stress reduction, chill out, let it go, detach
familiar phrases to all of us. Our world is fast, fun and
exciting.
It is also challenging, trying, demanding and frightening.
These two sides of our lives produce stress, emotional reactions,
anxiety, worry and anticipation. Our bodies and minds can
tolerate
only so much of any of these. After a while, each of us reaches
a saturation point and the results become uncomfortable at
best, for some it may be unbearable, even unendurable.
No magic pill is available to eliminate these feelings.
The reality is, as the wise old man said, the answer is inside
all of us. To manage these universal concerns we must go
inside ourselves, still the mind and relax the egos chatter.
Among the steps we can take is the learning and practicing
of meditation. Mindstones cannot promote any particular method of meditation for you, this must come from via
your own inner journey.

regular practice of concentration and meditation
you attain clarity of mind, increased grasping power, retentive
memory, increased intelligence, confidence, peace, optimism
and control of the senses." - Swami Sivananda
"This is the only way... to explain existence, to overcome
sadness and grievances, to banish death and misery, to
find the right path, to realize Nirvana...it is correct meditation."
- Lord Gautama Buddha
"...the kingdom of heaven is within" - Matthew
(4:17)
"Seek and you will find; knock and the door will be
opened to you" - Matthew (7:7)
"Contemplation for an hour is better than formal worship
for sixty years." – Mohammed
Those who know others are intelligent; those who know
themselves are truly wise . Those who master others are
strong; those who master themselves have true power."
- Lao-Tzu
